Clean Energy and Climate: As its principal thematic focus, KHI works across renewable energy, energy efficiency, fossil-fuel transitions, and industrial decarbonisation. By combining research, technical support, and stakeholder collaboration, the Institute delivers practical, scalable policy and financing solutions for Bangladesh’s energy transition.
Macroeconomic and Public Finance Management: KHI conducts policy analysis on macroeconomic trends and public finance to support Bangladesh’s structural transformation, long-term competitiveness, and economic resilience. Its research links macroeconomic stability to critical sectors including trade, industrialisation, climate adaptation, employment, and investment.
Employment and Skills Development: KHI analyzes labor market transitions, productivity, and the evolving future of work. This stream specifically addresses the impact of artificial intelligence on labor markets and governance, focusing on reskilling strategies, workforce displacement, digital inclusion, institutional efficiency, and ethical regulatory frameworks.
